Writing to the void
I love personal websites. Particularly those of developers, with very simple layouts and styling. I keep a list of sites that have inspired me, and really enjoy the process of stumbling on a site, usually from a post on hackernews, and finding that there are 100+ articles that someone has written.
I've considered making a personal website/blog for a while, but haven't quite got my head around who I'd be writing for or what the goal would be. I still haven't got that sorted out, but I've decided that starting might help me get there.
I really like the point Fabian Sanglard makes on his site in an article titled "0x4 reasons to write and publish".
Sometimes a webpage feels like a bottle thrown into a numeric ocean. No feedback. Maybe no readers either.
That's how this feels. I don't even have any plans to share my site, but I'm excited to start the journey regardless.
